Shepherd's Nook Food Pantry Shepherd's Nook began as a local missions project of Salem Full Gospel Church, and continues to be staffed largely by congregants of Salem Full Gospel, as well as others in the community. Operations of Shepherd's Nook have been transferred to the Lifeway Center, Inc, a community ministry organization founded by the pastors of Salem Full Gospel, in order to better serve the needs of the community, and to free up facilities in the SFG Family Center for the Kidz Alive services. Shepherd's Nook is now located downtown, at 701 N. Main.
Shepherd's Nook now provides food to 742 residents each month (2009 average), which equates to 15 % of the population of Salem. Those wishing to donate time or resources to the food pantry are encouraged to contact the directors, Bill or Sheri Stack, at 247-1116/1367.
Donations are tax-deductible, and may qualify for Missouri State tax credits.
